An official Health Canada notice concerns Fleetwood. Certain vehicles equipped with a Remy alternator may develop a low resistance short within the voltage regulator. In some cases, if the circuit does not open, the low resistance short could eventually generate enough heat to result in an engine compartment fire, which could cause property damage or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace any suspect alternator. Published 2011-02-15.
