An official Health Canada notice concerns Ducati. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the retaining pin for the side stand spring could break. If this happens, the side stand could fall or open suddenly while riding and cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ducati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to install a new side stand bracket. Published 2023-09-22.
