Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Ducati. Issue: on certain motorcycles, the fuses for the antilock braking system (abs) pump and control unit may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the abs pump fuse could blow and cause the abs not to work. If this happens, the front or rear wheel could lock up while riding. Note: this problem would cause an "abs error" warning message and an abs warning light to be displayed in the instrument cluster. Safety risk: a wheel that locks up suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash and/or injury. Corrective actions: ducati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the abs fuses and fuse holders.
