An official Health Canada notice concerns Chevrolet - General motors. Certain vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114 – Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Specifically, the ignition key can be removed from the ignition when it is not in the OFF position. This could result in unintended vehicle movement, which could cause a crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ignition lock cylinder.
