BD has now received 6 complaints for specific product code 256066 that the product referenced above has the potential to cause fire. BD's initial investigation indicated that the issue occurred simultaneous with the use of an unauthorized alternative AC/DC power adapter, and not the approved power provided by BD with the BD Veritor Plus Analyzer.
