An official Health Canada notice concerns Arboc specialty vehicles. Issue: on certain buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. Update - after arboc notified transport canada about this problem, they determined that there are no canadian vehicles affected by it. Accordingly, this safety recall was withdrawn. Safety risk: there is no safety risk, as there are no canadian vehicles affected by this problem. Corrective actions: this is not a recall. This notice was published for information only.
