Watch Arboc

An official Health Canada notice concerns Arboc specialty vehicles. Issue: On certain buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. Safety Risk: A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, ARBOC recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. ARBOC will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s). Published 2025-12-17.
