An official NHTSA notice concerns Par Nado - Cooktop gas valves may crack causing gas leak. A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. Published 2025-10-31.
What to do now
Owners are advised to not operate cooktop and to turn off the gas supply at the propane tank. The remedy is currently under development. Interim notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed november 24, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available. Owners may contact par nado customer service at 1-418-426-3666. Par nado's number for this recall is 2025-001.
