An official NHTSA notice concerns Nova Bus - Seat belt not retracting properly fmvss 209. A seat belt that does not retract properly may result in a loose seat belt, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Published 2024-11-05.
What to do now
Nova bus will install additional seat stoppers to the driver's rear partition, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed july 4, 2025. Nova's number for this recall is cr5635. This recall expands and replaces previous recall number 23v-350. Vehicles that were previously recalled under 23v-350 will need to have the new remedy completed.
