An official NHTSA notice concerns Mitsubishi - Fuel filter head leak. As the fuel line loosens and detaches it may leak fuel. Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source such as high temperature components may increase the risk of a fire. Published 2012-10-25.
What to do now
Mfta will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the affected fuel filter head, free of charge. The safety recall began on december 19, 2012. Owners may contact mfta at 1-856-467-4500.
