An official NHTSA notice concerns Mitsubishi - Abs hydraulic unit harness. If water permeates during normal vehicle operation, the connector terminals could become corroded. This corrosion could affect the hydraulic motor circuit in such a manner that the motor would operate continuously, causing the motor to overheat and potentially result in a fire. Published 2010-07-09.
What to do now
Mfta will notify owners and replace the ground sub harness with a waterproof harness free of charge. The safety recall began on august 4, 2010. Owners may contact mfta at 1-856-467-4500.
