An official NHTSA notice concerns Maserati - Driver may exit vehicle when it is not in park. Drivers thinking that their vehicle's transmission is in the park position may be struck by the vehicle and injured if they attempt to get out of the vehicle while the engine is running and the parking brake is not engaged. Published 2016-06-10.
What to do now
Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will perform a software update, free of charge. The remedy software is currently in development. Owners were mailed an interim notification on july 1, 2016. A second notice will be mailed when the software is available. Owners may contact maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 307.
