An official NHTSA notice concerns Ducati North - License plate holder fixing system. Loosening of the license plate holder could interfere with the motorcycle's rear wheel rotation and thereby increase the risk of a crash. Published 2011-06-27.
What to do now
Ducati dealers will replace the chain guard with an updated version, manufactured with steel inserts. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall began on july 27, 2011. Owners may contact ducati at 1-800-231-6696.
