An official NHTSA notice concerns Bombardier Recreational - Latching mechanism advanced tec trailer. If the rear latching straps are not used to properly secure the back end of the personal watercraft, it may slide off the trailer increasing the risk of a crash. Published 2010-05-05.
What to do now
Dealers will install a safety cable on the front latch mechanism, to affix an updated label on the trailer and to give to the owner an updated user guide. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or before june 15, 2010. Owners may contact brp at 1-888-638-5397.
