An official CPSC notice concerns Bicycles and Bicycle Components. The recumbent bicycle's front fork steering tube can break, the frame of the 12-inch children's bicycle can break during use, the Cannondale bicycle forks can break, the Magura brakes could fail, the Supergo handlebars can crack and break, causing the rider to lose control of the bicycle, fall and suffer injuries. The carbon fiber wrap on the handlebar can hide cracking of the aluminum handlebar underneath the carbon. The Supergo carbon fiber bar ends can detach from the aluminum clamp. Published 2026-03-18.
What to do now
Consumers should stop using the Hemi bicycles, and return them to a Specialized dealer, for a refund. Stop using the Cannondale bicycles and return them to a Cannondale retailer to have the fork rebuilt and upgraded, at no charge. Stop using bicycles with the Gustav M hydraulic disc brakes and contact a Magura dealer for repair or a brake upgrade kit. Stop using bicycles with recalled handlebars and bar ends, to obtain a refund or a free replacement handlebar, to be installed at Supergo stores.
