An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns VTech Baby Pack & Go Travel Mobile. Over time, the white part of the clamp may show signs of cracking and weaken, such that the clamp may fail. If the clamp weakens and fails, the mobile could fall onto the baby and may cause inury. Published 2017-12-07.
What to do now
If you have one of these mobiles and if you still use it with its white arm and white clamp, you should consider removing it from your child's reach. If you no longer use the arm and clamp, but still use the music box attached to the stroller by a big green clip, you can continue this use without any risk. Contact Vtech for instructions on returning the toy for a full refund.
