An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Vigilant T-Gen2. The T-Gen2 with version V2.0, 2.1, 2.2 firmware may stop playing tones or sound files. The lack of warning system may go unnoticed until the T-Gen2 is tested during the monthly test under NZ Standard 4512.If the T-Gen2 stops playing sounds it will not produce alert or evacuation tones to warn occupants to evacuate a building in the event of a fire.
