An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns System Sensor smoke detector base - B401. Series 300 smoke and heat detectors may not power up correctly when plugged in to some B401 bases. Fire Hazards may not be detected. Published 2017-11-10.
What to do now
Contact your fire alarm service company to arrange replacement parts. More information is contained in an advisory letter that has been sent to all fire alarm installation companies who have purchased 300 series detectors.
