An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Serene S2069 Bathroom Heater. In April 2024, WorkSafe NZ found that all Serene S2069 wall mounted bathroom heaters imported, purchased, or installed since June 2018 are non-compliant with safety standards and the approval for this heater has been withdrawn. Serene S2069 heaters are non-compliant with safety standards and Energy safety is investigating a reported fire event associated with a Serene S2069 heater. Check if your heater is a Serene model S2069 Energy Safety considers there is a low risk from continued use.
