An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Sea-Doo Spark Audio Mounting System. The tabs of the Audio Portable System may break and cause the Audio Portable System to dislodge from its support.If the portable audio system dislodges from the mounting system, it could hit the rider and potentially lead to serious injuries or even death. Published 2022-04-27.
What to do now
Remove the audio system from the watercraft for riding or trailering. BRP will repair the Audio Portable System mounting at no cost. The repair is NOT yet available. Information regarding this repair will be available before the end of June 2022.In the meantime, and until the repair is ready, remove the portable audio system from the watercraft for riding or trailering. Note that BRP issued a previous recall on this product. All the products repaired under this recall will need to be repaired again. The newer recall also includes some subsequent versions of this product.
