An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Sea-Doo Audio Mounting System Installed on the Sea-Doo Spark or sold as an accessory. The portable audio system may dislodge from the Spark audio mounting system. If the portable audio system dislodges from the mounting system, it may hit the user and/or passenger and lead to serious injury or even death. Published 2019-09-17.
What to do now
BRP intends to replace the mounting system. Contact your Sea-Doo dealer and make an appointment. In the meantime, the following precautions must be adhered to: consumers should remove the portable audio system from the watercraft for riding or trailering.
