An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Power Supply Unit for Zebra thermal industrial printers. The power supply units (PSU) can degrade and corrode over time when exposed to moisture. As a result the PSU's can overheat, posing a fire hazard. Published 2017-01-27.
What to do now
Only PSU's with date codes 1039XX -1052XX and 1101XX -1152XX are included in the recall. Printer owners should immediately stop using the recalled power supply units and contact Zebra for a free replacement power supply.
