An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor. A limited batch of parent units of Philips video baby monitors that were manufactured between 2016 and January 2020 were equipped with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries which can overheat under some conditions. The parent unit is the part of the product that is used by parents to monitor their children. Globally, Philips Consumer Lifestyle has received reports of minor property damages and minor burns. There is a possibility of a fire hazard.Philips is not aware of any incident reports within New Zealand. Published 2023-07-12.
