An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Mitre 10 - 4 Burner Hooded Black BBQ. If the regulator hose connection to the BBQ is not correctly tightened and leak tested before use, in accordance with the instructions, the connection may leak gas. Leaking gas poses a fire hazard and a risk of injury. Published 2017-05-26.
What to do now
Customers should stop using the BBQ immediately and return it to your nearest Mitre 10 Mega store, Mitre 10 or Hammer Hardware store for a full refund.
