An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Mamas & Papas, Armadillo Flip XT strollers. Under certain conditions, when in the parent facing position, a latch may slip and cause the seatback to tip backwards. The seatback tip cannot occur when the infant is in the forward facing position or where a basinet attachment is used. If the safety harness is not used or is incorrectly used, there is the potential for the infant to fall out of the stroller and be injured. No injuries have been recorded to date. What to do now
Until your stroller has been fixed, do not use it on rough terrain in the parent-facing position. Always ensure the infant is securely strapped in using the safety harness. Owners of the Armadillo Flip XT strollers will be contacted by letter or telephone to arrange a repair of the stroller. If you are not contacted directly, please call or email childs play below to arrange a time for the fix to be applied.
