Updated: July 2018 The battery compartment of your torch is not adequately secured, allowing easy access to the button batteries inside. If young children gain access to a button battery and ingest it, they may suffer internal burns, which can result in serious injuries or death. The button batteries can also pose a choking hazard to children under 3. Published 2018-06-11.
