An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Goldair branded panel heaters - sold nationwide at Goldair stockists from February 2016. The heaters may overheat and could cause a fire. Published 2024-10-22.

All heaters with the following date codes are affected: 4615 / 4715 / 4815 / 4915 / 5015 / 5115 / 5215 or xx16 / xx17 (xx = week - example week 49 is 4916) See the rating label on the back of the heater control unit - to see the rating label you will need to remove the top 2 wall mounting screws and gently rotate panel forward.
