An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Fisher & Paykel Integrated Insert Rangehood, 90cm, with External Motor (Model HP90IDCHEX3). Recalling 4 units manufactured on 14 November 2021.. Wiring to the External Motor unit has had phase and earth connections transposed.Contact with the External Motor unit could cause an electric shock to the user that can result in severe injury or electrocution. Published 2023-01-26.

Check the model and serial number located behind the filters of your rangehood to determine whether your serial number is one of the 4 recalled units.The model number is HP90IDCHEX3 and the four affected serial numbers are: 50167141121016, 50167141121118, 50167141121161, 50167141121168.The safety risk is limited to the external motor unit on the four affected units and there is no safety risk when checking the serial number in the indoor rangehood unit. If your rangehood is recalled, switch the unit off at the wall and stop use until repaired. Contact Fisher & Paykel at 0800 032 026 (7am to 7pm Monday-Sunday) to book a free repair.If you are in doubt, contact Fisher & Paykel to confirm whether your rangehood is recalled.
