An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Early Settler - Collins Pharmacy Table Lamp Black 54cm. The insulation/protection on the electric cable that runs through the lamps body to the light fitting can wear allowing the live cable to touch the metal body of the lamp.The lamp can become live and pose a risk of electrocution. Published 2022-08-24.
What to do now
Stop using the lamp right now. First turn it OFF at the power point/wall and then after the wall switch is OFF, unplug the lamp and store it somewhere adding a label that is should not be used if you cant return it promptly.Return it to your nearest Early Settler store for a refund.
