An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Dynamix 2m 2-pin Plug. On affected units, the moulded plug pins have been wired in reverse, meaning some of the products supplied within the stated time frame do not comply with Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3112:2000. Published 2024-11-07.

What to do now

If any customer believes they may have purchased affected products, Rushmore recommends they re-test any product(s) purchased within the time frame outlined, and, if any product is found to be non-compliant, Rushmore recommends it be removed from service and either destroyed or returned to either their place of purchase or contact Computer Dynamics directly for a replacement. If any customer finds their product is compliant, no further action is required - Rushmore notes that this product should have been installed by a licensed electrical professional. As part of the installation process, it should have been tested to ensure it met all relevant electrical safety standards, and, if the required testing was completed with no issue, there should be no potential harm to any persons or property.
