An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Dometic 2 Cook Turbo FFD Deluxe. Dometic Australia has identified a manufacturing defect in the gas hose supplied with the stove. An incorrectly sized brass ring has been used in the manufacturing of the hose, which may allow gas to leak from the hose when it is not correctly aligned or, if correctly aligned, is then rattled or shaken. If the hose is not correctly aligned, or is rattled or shaken, a gas leak may occur which could cause a fire or explosion. Published 2024-12-18.
What to do now
Consumers should immediately stop using this product, and contact Dometic Australia or their point of purchase to arrange for a replacement hose to be supplied free of charge.
