An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Cinemon Regal Ceramic Bakeware. The instructions on the underside of the bakeware state ‘Microwave Safe’, however, the bakeware is not microwave safe. It has a thin metal seam on it which, if used in a microwave oven, will cause moderate ‘sparking’ that could damage the appliance and in rare circumstances lead to a fire. Published 2017-10-09.
What to do now
