An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Chemist Warehouse Wooden Puzzle Assorted. The wooden puzzles carried a warning "Warning: Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years” as block number 8 of the aeroplane set and block number 5 of the boat set fit wholly within the small parts cylinder.However, NSW fair trading assessment of the wooden puzzles found that it would be recognised as being intended or suitable for children under 36 months of age due to having fewer than 13 pieces, use of bright colours, cartoon like representation of recognisable objects, educational theme, depth of puzzle pieces (easy to pick up and orientate) and inset framing to guide placement of pieces.Therefore the product does not comply with the mandatory standard.The puzzle may pose a choking or suffocation hazard for young children, which can lead to severe injury or death. Immediately stop using the puzzle and place out of reach of children.Return the products to any Chemist Warehouse store nationwide for a full refund.
