An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns CarbaTec RT-660 Router Table. Your RT-660 Router table is supplied with a switch unit mounted on one of the legs by three bolts. The switch unit has a socket outlet that plugs into your wood router to use on the router table. In some instances we have found that the Phase and Neutral wires to the output socket have been swapped. This is not compliant with NZ standards. Published 2016-11-10.
What to do now
You should disconnect your router table from the power supply and then contact Carba-Tec New Zealand (0800 444 329) who will arrange to have your switch unit couriered to Auckland. Following checking or repairing (if necessary) the unit will then be returned to you within a few days.
