Instructions provided by the supplier, Boundaryline Solutions:1. TEST – Check to see if screws used on your site are faulty2. SECURE – if you find faulty screws on your project, secure the area to prevent anybody (especially children) from accessing the fence or balustrade3. REPORT – Tell us what you find and/or notify us to send you new replacement screws4. REPAIR – make the repairs by installing with new screws in place of the faulty screws1. TESTYou need to check that the screws holding the panel brackets to the fence posts are strong and secure. We suggest you test a bracket on at least every second fence panel, or as many different brackets/screws along the fence/balustrade that will give you the level of assurance that satisfies you the batch of screws you have received are not from the faulty batch of screws that are causing these issues.There is no defined method of testing, however we suggest the following options as a guide:· Grip the centre of the panel rail and give the panel a short sharp ‘shake’, and/or· Use a rubber hammer or similar tool to gently tap the bracket in an ‘up’ or ‘down’ direction, and/or,· Use a flat head screw driver to wedge between the bracket and the post and apply a little pressure to try ‘prise’ the bracket away from the post.Check to see if any screw heads have broken off, and also check to see if any brackets are loose which could be an indication of a broken screw that has not yet fallen off completely.2. SECUREIf you have identified that your project has some faulty screws, please secure the area and ensure that no one (especially children) can have access to the fence/balustrade until the repairs can be made. Be particularly mindful of swimming pool fencing, front fencing on residential sections, and balustrade installed to restrict fall-from height. You may choose to use a temporary fencing solution from your local hire ship to isolate the area.3. REPORTWe need to know the results of your test, including if you have done the test and found no screws at fault. This is especially valuable to be able to identify more accurately the ‘batch’ of screws that may be at fault. Please the button below to submit your findings to us before Friday 22nd July 2022. If you have not submitted your test by this date, we will endeavour to contact you by phone.If you have found a faulty screw on your project, please be sure to upload photo of this as this will help us in making a claim to our supplier to recover some of the costs associated with this product recall.4. REPAIRIf you have reported to us that you have found faulty screw(s), we will get new screws that are not faulty delivered to you by courier urgently, and also reply to you with some instructions on how to replace the faulty screws.
