An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Ashton GPA10 Guitar amplifier. A short may occur in the transformer causing amplifier to stop working by blowing the primary fuse inside the chassis. There is a small chance of an electrical shock if the amplifier has been modified. The amplifier will not work and will need to be checked by an electrical technician. Published 2016-07-17.
What to do now
Return the amplifier to your closest Musicworks dealer to have it checked. They will replace it free of charge with a new revised GPA10 amp if it is an affected unit. Call the 0800 number for your nearest dealer.
