An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Volkswagen - Up!. Null Incorrectly parameterised airbag control units may have been fitted. For these airbag control units, the diagnosis function of the side crash sensors is deactivated. Should a fault occur in the side airbag system, the fault would not be recognised and the airbag warning light would not be activated.
