An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Universal power plug adapter with a usb port. Null Single-pole insertion of a plug is possible leaving the live part of the free remaining pin accessible. The contact pressure of the internal electrical connections is transmitted by thermoplastic which could deform compromising the electrical insulation. Devices which need to be earthed can be connected but there is no earth circuit continuity.
