An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Peugeot - 2008 V2, 3008 v3, 308 v3, 408, 5008 v3. Due to a defect of the engine control unit (inverter) in the vehicles fitted with electric double clutch transmission (e-DCT), metallic soldering residues may cause an internal electric short-circuits. This could lead to continuous power supply and overheating due to a blocked relay and cause a fire.
