An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Lockhard - Alulift. Null As a result of failure of the worm gear drive unit, power transmission between the motor and the drive pinion is interrupted. When the operator continues to keep a movement button pressed, the service brake fails to engage. As the platform descends, although the emergency brake grippers engage, the fastening bolts of the gripper and counter support shear off suddenly, causing the platform to drop unchecked to the floor.
