An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Klettersteigset. Null The polyamide webbing of the elasticated webbing branches could be partially destroyed by the mechanical action of deposited dirt particles and be weakened as a result. Under normal conditions of use (without falling), the webbing stretches, then retracts back to shape. It is thought that this could provoke the above-mentioned mechanical action, which is not immediately obvious to the user. In the event of a fall, this could lead to serious injury or death.One fatal accident reported. The product does not comply with the Personal Protective Equipment Directive. Published 2012-09-14.
