An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Mercedes-Benz - SLK class. Null The back-up cable supplying current to the ignition switch might not be connected properly. If this additional power supply is not available, it means that, in the event of failure of the main battery after the engine is switched off, neither the electronic parking brake nor the "P" transmission position would activate and the vehicle could start rolling on its own.
