Bow and Arrow Set - Marbel ELTEH LTD
Official notice

Last checked

An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns Bow and Arrow Set - Marbel ELTEH LTD. The product poses a risk of:- choking , because the suction cups can be easily detached from the arrows and from the foam darts (with force of less than 90N) and fit through the small balls/suction cups template. As children often put suction cups into their mouths to moisten the cups, there is a risk that the suction cup detaches in the mouth and poses a potential choking or asphyxiation hazard to a child, by blocking the airway;- damage to sight, because it is possible to fire the arrows with the sucker ends detached. Without the sucker ends, the arrows would be classed as "rigid projectiles without resilient impact surfaces" and the kinetic energy of 0.83J and 0.81J exceeds the permitted maximum of 0.08J for rigid projectiles. The product does not comply with the Toys Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71. Published 2010-07-16.
