An official EU Safety Gate notice concerns BMW Alpina B3, BMW Alpina D3. The driver airbag inflator may malfunction due to long-term degradation. In this case, if the airbag is deployed in an accident, the internal pressure in the inflator may be too high and the inflator could burst, ejecting metal fragments that could cause injuries.
