An official Health Canada notice concerns Yokohama. Certain tires may have insufficient input of a compounding agent for the under tread layer. This could cause a portion of the tire tread to swell and bulge during driving. If the vehicle is operated with this condition, the bulge area may peel off which could affect steering stability, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective tires as directed under a program by Yokohama. Published 2017-05-03.
