An official Health Canada notice concerns Winnebago industries. Issue: On certain RV trailers, the spare tire carrier could break and separate from the trailer. Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2023-226. Safety Risk: A spare tire carrier that falls from the trailer could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the spare tire carrier with a newly designed part. Winnebago recommends that you should inspect the spare tire carrier to ensure that it's secure before driving. You should also check it periodically throughout your trip. Published 2024-01-03.
