Risk not stated by sourceHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Volvo trucks. Issue: On certain trucks, the wheel lug nuts may not have been properly tightened on the left-side of the vehicle. As a result, the lug nuts could loosen or fall off. If this happens, a wheel could separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the lug nuts. The dealer will replace any damaged lug nuts, wheel studs and wheels, as necessary. Published 2024-09-18.
