An official Health Canada notice concerns Vicinity motor corp.. Issue: On certain trucks, the vacuum sensor for the brake booster could fail. As a result, there could be a sudden loss of power brakes. Safety Risk: A loss of power brakes will cause a sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. Both will increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Vicinity Motor Corporation will notify owners by email. As an interim repair, a dealer will replace the vacuum sensor. Once the final repair is available, you will need to return to a dealership. The final corrective actions for this recall are under development. Published 2024-03-28.
