An official Health Canada notice concerns Utilimaster. On certain walk-in delivery vans, the adhesive used to secure the floor mat to the floor may deteriorate, allowing the floor mat to interfere with the accelerator pedal. This could result in a stuck throttle when the accelerator pedal is fully or almost-fully depressed. A stuck throttle may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle. This could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the floor mat. Published 2012-12-03.
