An official Health Canada notice concerns Toyota. Issue: On certain trucks, a plastic fuel tube on the top of the fuel tank may not be secured correctly. As a result, the fuel tube could be damaged by contact with the brake lines and create a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership for an interim repair. Once replacement parts are available, you will need to return to the dealership to replace the fuel tube with an improved part and have additional clamps installed. Published 2023-08-22.
